Bluegrass Meets The Doors: Iron Horse Revives Classics in Pickin' On's Dolby Atmos Debut

CMH is excited to announce the release of the latest chapter in the Pickin' On series: Pickin' On The Doors. With over 30 years in and 80 albums deep, the Pickin’ On series is one of the most beloved traditions at CMH and the bluegrass community. Here for the first time, bluegrass quartet Iron Horse turn their focus to one of the most iconoclastic bands of the 60s, The Doors.

For the very first time in Pickin' On history, the singles were recorded in Dolby Atmos, providing a richer, more immersive sound experience. Banjo player Anthony Richardson shared his thoughts on the album's creation: “As I sat in the booth cutting the banjo track on ‘Riders On The Storm,’ I couldn’t help but think to myself, ‘this song could have easily evolved out of 1930s Appalachia.’”
