Cornbread Red
Formed in 2005, Cornbread Red were a group of bluegrass veterans in it for the love of the music. Consisting of Dennis Clifton, Mark Scott, Mark Whitehead, Stan Dailey and Tim Lorsch, Cornbread Red had an essential role at the start of CMH’s popular Pickin’ On series, which takes rock and pop music and transforms it into heartfelt and authentic bluegrass renditions.
The group worked on over ten albums for CMH in just three years (from 2005 to 2007). They are responsible for many Pickin’ On classics including Pickin’ On Green Day, The Bluegrass Tribute to Linkin Park and The Bluegrass Tribute to The Offspring. Cornbread Red brought their distinctive vocals and outstanding musicianship to each Pickin’ On arrangement, helping lay the format for the longstanding series.
Many of their classic albums are available to stream today. Listen now and enjoy the sounds of Cornbread Red.
