Carter Falco
Born in Waco, TX and relocated to Los Angeles, Carter Falco has been bringing new flavors to country music for over two decades.
Falco came up playing guitar in Shooter Jennings’ L.A.-based hard rock band Stargunn, where he built up his rock ’n’ roll chops while maintaining his country roots. After Stargunn disbanded, Falco struck out on his own, recording songs he’d written and performing across the southwest.
Falco has released two solo albums, the first of which, titled If It Ain’t One Thing, came out on CMH in 2006. His debut is a particularly punk-edged L.A. take on classic country, influenced in equal parts by The Ramones as it is by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. Ten songs here are penned by Falco himself, while album closer “Union Song” was written specifically for Falco by Tom Morello of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine fame. Falco’s most recent album, Freeloader, was released in 2023. He records, performs, surfs and plays guitar in and around Los Angeles.
