Brad Davis
Guitarist, mandolinist, banjoist, bassist, singer and songwriter, Brad Davis just about does it all. Born in Commerce, Texas, Davis is a modern professional of country and bluegrass music. With an active solo career and countless credits to his name, Davis keeps busy.
Davis has acted as a long-term member of Marty Stuart’s, Earl Scruggs’ and Billy Bob Thornton’s bands and has performed with Willie Nelson, David Lee Roth, Bela Fleck, Emmy Lou Harris, Roger Miller, Sam Bush and ZZ TOP. He has recorded with Sheryl Crow and Warren Zevon and has written songs for Tim McGraw, Jo-El Sonnier, Tony Trischka, Tommy Shaw and Billy Bob Thornton. In 2022, Guitar World Magazine named Davis one of the greatest Texas guitar players of all time.
CMH has been privileged to work with Davis as the lead artist behind several albums in our Pickin’ On series, including Where The Bluegrass Grows: The Bluegrass Tribute To Tim McGraw, Where I’m Going: The Bluegrass Tribute To Brad Paisley, and Pickin On The Biggest Hits of the 1980s Vol. 2. These albums take modern favorites and transform them into heartfelt and authentic bluegrass renditions.
